My Ale- Birrificio La Mata

My Ale, is a play on words: MY ALE, and MAIALE (italian word for pig). This beer tasting concerned a pink, delicate English style IPA, a very good one!

VISUAL ANALYSIS

Foam: stunning creamy light beige foam, small bubbles. Persistent and adhesive to the glass surface. During the drinking you can admire Bruxelles’s laces and a crown.
Appearance: copper color, deep orange reflections, almost crystalline.
Effervescence: medium/ low effervescence, tiny bubbles.

OLFACTORY ANALYSIS

Scent/ olfactory sensation: pleasant and intense malty and fruity bouquet. Biscuit, a little of sultana; than pear, marmelade, citrus fruit, piney, mild balsamic hints.

GUSTATORY PERCEPTION

Tactile sensation: medium carbonated. Medium- body.
Taste: malty, palatable medium bitterness.
Olfacto-Gustatory sensation/ back aroma: the intensity  of the back aroma is noticeable, as the durability. Good balance between fruit and balsamic tastes, bitterness and the malt. In the end fruit (citrus, tropical) and a prolonged dry finish.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: a soft, balanced IPA.

 

VEG FOOD PAIRING: artichoke risotto, or a tasy, fatty frittata (omelettes) enriched by asparagus.
